Creating a Bespoke Tropical Decor Package: A Show-Stopping Gold Leaf Installation

One recent project saw us transform an industrial venue into a vibrant tropical paradise — featuring bespoke, hand-made 7ft gold glittered leaves and full tropical décor framing the dance floor.
This installation was all about impact, atmosphere and delivering something truly unique for our client.
From Concept to Creation: Bespoke Design at Its Best
The brief was clear: create a bold, immersive environment that felt luxurious, energetic and unforgettable. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf décor, our design team proposed something entirely custom — oversized tropical leaves, designed and built specifically for this event.

Suspended above the dance floor, the leaves created a dramatic ceiling installation that instantly drew the eye upward, transforming the scale and feel of the space.
Enhancing the Dance Floor with Tropical Styling
To fully immerse guests in the theme, we framed the dance floor with lush tropical décor. Layers of greenery, palms and foliage were carefully positioned around the edges to soften the industrial surroundings and create a striking contrast against the gold overhead installation.
This approach achieved two key things:

Uplighting and textured surfaces worked together to bring depth, warmth and movement to the space as the evening progressed.
Lighting, Texture & Atmosphere
The gold glitter finish on the bespoke leaves was specifically chosen to interact with event lighting. As colours changed and music built, the leaves reflected warm golds, pinks and ambers, adding dynamic movement and glamour above the crowd.
Combined with a central mirrored disco ball and atmospheric lighting, the installation delivered a layered, immersive experience that evolved throughout the event — from early evening elegance to late-night celebration.
